Why Cast-in-Place Concrete Is Preferred for Durable Buildings
22 February 2026Morficon Engineering Team5 min read
Cast-in-place concrete is poured into formwork at its final location. Precast, by contrast, is poured off-site and lifted into place. Each approach has a role, but for residential and high-rise towers, cast-in-place offers structural and economic advantages worth restating.
Joints are reduced. Capital cost of precast moulds and yards is avoided. Handling, lifting and transportation costs are limited. And the structure benefits from a continuous, monolithic load path.
